CMJ - Consultation

Transit has been consulting with the general community and key stakeholder groups since the beginning of the CMJ project in early 2001.

In March 2002, two public information days were held to show the public the proposed CMJ Scheme.

Some 200 people attended the information days which included displays, photomontages, a model of the proposed scheme, an animation of the junction and traffic modelling. Members of the project team and Transit representatives were also on hand to discuss the project with visitors.

In addition to the open days Transit prepared a brochure in 2002, outlining the improvements, to help the public visualise the completed project.

NOTE: This Brochure was produced during the early stages of of the design and as such there have been some changes to the layout of the scheme.

Newsletters will continue to be published throughout the duration of the project. These are distributed to businesses and residents in the surrounding area, and to those on the mailing list.
