CMJ - Objectives

The project objectives for the development of CMJ can be divided into the following three broad categories:

1. Efficiency
2. Safety
3. Access

Improving Efficiency Includes:

• Reducing congestion and achieving consistent traffic speeds.
• Making driving easier by reducing, and giving more time for, the decisions needed by drivers.
• Facilitating public transport.
• Facilitating emergency service access.

Improving Safety Includes:

• Reducing the number of crashes.
• Improving safety for those involved in incidents on the motorway.

Improving Access Includes:

• Providing opportunities for users to access main destinations without leaving the motorway.
